ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Sandra.

I’m a content creator and digital marketer with a fully remote job and a habit of making myself at home wherever I end up. Originally from Slovenia, I spent five years living in London, which was the first place I ever felt somewhat local outside my own country. These days I split my time between my homeland, Croatia and Morocco, with plenty of detours in between.

I’ve never been very good at travelling just to tick places off a list. I’d rather stay a little longer, figure out where the locals actually eat, support small businesses, find the places that don’t make every “top 10” list, and leave enough room for the unplanned stuff. Give me great food, a camera, live music, wild nature and a road I haven’t been down before, and I’m over the moon.

That’s really what Somewhat Local is about. Getting to know a place beyond the obvious, while accepting that I’ll always be somewhere between a local and a visitor. I share the places I genuinely love, the things I wish I’d known before going, and practical travel guides based on actually being there. Always somewhat local, never fully. Not even at home.
